We kicked things off with a spotlight on Veris Residential, one of the most forward-thinking operators in the industry. The team joined us for a candid fireside chat about their rapid rollout of Venn, the results they've seen, and what it means to deliver on a brand promise.
“We went from zero to 7,000 units live on myVeris in 45 days.”
What started as a conversation over the holidays became a full portfolio rollout just weeks later. "We decided to partner with Venn sometime over Christmas. Officially in March, and we went live 45 days later across the whole portfolio," said Anna Malhari, COO at Veris.
The results speak for themselves: 96% adoption, over $60K in amenity revenue, 100,000+ packages processed, and a resident experience that’s fully connected, branded, and simple.
“We didn’t want five apps. We wanted one experience.”
"There were a lot of other providers offering features we wanted but each as a standalone," Anna explained. "We didn’t want our residents to have to sign into five different apps. We wanted to make their life easier, not more complicated."
Veris chose to roll out a single branded experience that felt like an extension of their team and their values. From custom fonts and colors to tailored resident touchpoints, the tech isn’t just integrated, it’s intentional.
“The resident groups are out of control, in the best way.”
Golf groups. Foodie groups. Parents and fitness clubs. According to Area Manager Samantha Saleh, the social features have become one of the most active and loved parts of the platform. "My favorite is the foodie group. There’s always a few recipes on there that I’m checking out."
Even more impressive? Engagement starts before residents even move in. "People are joining and asking for pediatricians or cleaners, meeting neighbors before they’ve even moved in," Anna said.
“This is not just an app. It’s a brand promise.”
The Veris Promise is their commitment to residents: clear standards, consistent experience. "It’s all the things that are non-negotiable across our properties, from 24-hour maintenance response to a 30-day move-in guarantee," Anna shared.
Venn is now part of that promise, a daily reflection of Veris' values, not just a back-end tool.
“We want to build community, not just manage buildings.”
From QR-code cookies to coordinated launch parties at every property, Veris’ rollout wasn’t just efficient, it was joyful. The team brought a sense of care and creativity to every touchpoint. "Our teams are empowered, and our residents feel it," said Samantha.
And as the evening came to a close, Veris COO Anna Malhari offered a powerful reflection that captured the spirit of the night:
